Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in public assembly facility management preferred
  • Proven supervisory experience
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use AutoCAD is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing concerts, banquets, tradeshows, conferences and meetings preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in a public assembly facility with supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, hospitality management, business management or related field preferred
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including long days, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional and customer-focused attitude
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects of banquets, trade shows, meetings, parking lot and smaller miscellaneous events assigned by Director of Events
  • Thoroughly describe venue services and coordinate with clients
  • Advise clients on event logistics and facility use
  • Hire, terminate, evaluate, schedule, train and develop approximately 150 Guest Services staff
  • Design setup diagrams in AutoCAD for client approval
  • Work with operations to ensure event setup meets specifications and safety regulations
  • Communicate with food and beverage teams regarding event needs
  • Create and distribute detailed Event Data Sheets prior to events
  • Update event estimates and complete final event settlements
  • Problem solve and make decisions under pressure while maintaining professionalism
  • Serve as manager on duty as scheduled
  • Coordinate collection, input and documentation of employee information for part-time staff
  • Process and submit biweekly Events Department payroll
  • Perform duties with customer service focus, teamwork, and dedication to OVG's mission
  • Perform other duties as assigned
