Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in event management or public assembly facility
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing concerts, banquets, tradeshows, conferences, and meetings preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in a public assembly facility including supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, hospitality management, business management, or related field preferred
  • Clear and concise communication in English, both orally and in writing required
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including long days, late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Positive, professional customer-focused attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and internet software
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects of banquets, trade shows, meetings, parking lot and smaller miscellaneous events assigned by Director of Events
  • Thoroughly describe the venue's services and outline coordination to clients
  • Advise clients on event logistics and facility use for specific event functions
  • Hire, terminate, evaluate performance, schedule, train, and develop approximately 150 Guest Services staff
  • Design event set up diagrams in AutoCAD for client approval
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure event setups meet client specifications and safety regulations
  • Communicate with Food and Beverage Director, Chefs, and Catering Manager regarding event needs
  • Create and distribute detailed Event Data Sheets before events
  • Update event estimates and complete final settlements
  • Problem solve, delegate responsibilities professionally during stressful situations
  • Serve as manager on duty as scheduled
  • Coordinate collection and documentation of employee information for part-time staff
  • Process and submit biweekly Events Department payroll to HR
  • Complete duties with customer service focus and dedication to company mission
  • Perform other assigned duties
