Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant event management experience
- Ability to work typical office hours with flexibility for early mornings or late evenings
- Strong computer literacy with familiarity of event management and hotel systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to work successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Must be able to manage multiple events and clients concurrently
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in event management at a hotel of similar or larger size
- Strong understanding of hotel catering and event planning logistics
- Proficient knowledge of Banquet Event Order (BEO) processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple groups and events simultaneously
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- Communicate timely with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to meet their expectations and deliver high-quality events
- Utilize knowledge of hotel job systems, products, and processes
- Resolve conflicts, negotiate and handle complaints while settling disputes and resolving grievances
- Sell and influence internal and external clients to maximize event revenue
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process
- Ensure consistent, high-level service during pre-event, event, and post-event phases
- Regularly attend work and perform other duties as needed based on business requirements
