Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of event management experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Proficiency in event planning and coordination software
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle multiple client groups and events simultaneously in a dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in event management at a hotel of similar or larger size
  • Strong understanding of hotel catering and client event planning
  • Knowledge of Banquet Event Order (BEO) process
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work flexibly including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints and disputes
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues
  • Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process as necessary
  • Other duties as necessary based on business needs
