Job Requirements
- Minimum six months hotel experience
- flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends
- strong sales skills and attention to detail
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
- knowledge of hotel property management systems preferred
- relevant degree or training in business development or hospitality preferred
Job Qualifications
- Minimum six months hotel experience preferably in events or guest services
- demonstrated sales skills
- ability to book group events and attention to detail
- knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Delphi.fdc is advantageous
- relevant degree in business development or related field is a plus
- ability to operate with flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and planning abilities
Job Duties
- Sell and influence both internal and external clients including solicitation of groups of 10-20 attendees
- organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- communicate timely with clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- create and maintain client relationships to set and meet expectations
- demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes
- resolve conflicts and negotiate to handle complaints, disputes, and grievances
- make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues
- ensure high-quality service by providing guidance, feedback, and coaching
- participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process
- perform other duties as necessary
- maintain regular attendance
