Job Requirements

  • minimum six months of hotel experience
  • preferably in events or guest services
  • flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends based on event needs
  • strong sales skills and ability to book group events
  • attention to detail for successful event execution
  • effective communication skills
  • problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • ability to work cooperatively with multiple departments
  • regular attendance
  • knowledge of property management systems preferred
  • degree in business development or relevant field preferred
  • certifications such as CMP or CPCE are advantageous
  • experience in hospitality management level preferred

Job Qualifications

  • minimum six months of hotel experience, preferably in events or guest services
  • at least one year hospitality related experience at manager level
  • knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc preferred)
  • relevant degree in business development or related field
  • certification such as CMP or CPCE is advantageous
  • strong sales and customer service skills
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • adept at conflict resolution and negotiation
  • demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • selling and influencing both internal and external clients including solicitation of groups of 10-20 attendees
  • organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
  • demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
  • resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
  • make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solution
  • ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction, guidance, feedback and individual coaching
  • participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
  • perform other duties as necessary based on business needs
  • maintain regular attendance
