Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in event management or volunteer coordination preferred
- strong communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication
- physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
- availability to work extended hours including nights and weekends
- must be able to work in Birmingham, Alabama
- ability to work both in an office environment and on-site at events

Job Duties
- Assist senior event manager and event director with a wide variety of event duties
- assist with the planning and implementation of the Regions Tradition and Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix volunteer programs
- support volunteer recruitment for local events
- provide assistance with volunteer questions and communications
- produce bi-monthly email newsletters
- manage volunteer uniform distribution
- coordinate sponsor activation and fulfillment for volunteer program partners
- assist with volunteer headquarters operational set-up and breakdown
- recruit for the Regions Tradition marshal program
- assist with the Racing for Children’s charity dinner
- perform other general administrative and operational tasks to prepare for and support events
