Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in event planning or management preferred
- outgoing, articulate personality with well-developed communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, as well as DataCAD design software
- advanced computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems and programs quickly
- strong attention to detail and ability to implement complex instructions
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- valid driver’s license and access to private vehicle for business use
- ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

- ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as directed for events
Job Duties
- Coordinate activities with promoters, exhibitors, vendors and other external and internal departments for all tradeshows and consumer events
- coordinate activities with private event clients for planning and logistics of wedding receptions, banquets, business meetings, etc.
- work irregular schedule as required to ensure proper supervision of assigned events and activities
- maintain contact with promoters, repeat clients, vendors and other external stakeholders throughout the year to ensure a productive working relationship
- develop detailed floor plans, room diagrams and checklists for each event in accordance with applicable building fire codes and distribute to venue departments for implementation
- manage billing for events, including space and equipment rental charges and other building services
- utilize computer technology for customer relationship and event management
- ensure that spaces are ready when client arrives to set up or move-in
- assist Vice President of Sales in responding to phone, email and walk-in rental inquiries
- conduct tours of spaces and consults with prospective rental clients to maximize building usage
