Job Requirements

- strong interpersonal communication skills

- ability to balance multiple events and conflicting priorities
- experience or willingness to solicit financial sponsorships
- proficient use of Google Suite
- ability to come to Plymouth, MN office 1 day/week
- ability and willingness to travel including heavy travel in spring and fall
- willingness to learn about colorectal cancer
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to engage in onsite set-up and tear-down
- preferred 2-6 years event management experience
- experience in leadership/team lead situations
- event planning and logistical execution experience
- experience working in flexible/hybrid and remote team settings
- experience with project/task management software
- experience in event marketing campaigns
- experience in non-profit organizations or fundraising events
- familiarity with peer-to-peer registration software

Job Duties
- Provide white-glove level customer service and support to assigned local event directors and committees
- act as a credible and professional representative of the organization in all touchpoints
- be an active and positive participant of the events department
- complete the event planning process including historical metrics review and goal setting
- collaborate on budgets and event-specific targets
- liaison with insurance company to ensure local compliance
- manage shipment and tracking of organizational goods
- send participant and recruitment emails
- partner with Marketing & Communications staff to request materials
- ensure events comply with national brand standards
- brainstorm fundraising strategies
- set up online registration and race websites
- act as lead for participants and event donors
