Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • event planning experience required
  • ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods
  • ability to be physically present at the company office during business hours
  • ability to travel 30 percent of the time
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • physical ability to lift and move boxes and show materials

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • event planning experience
  • strong numerical and analytical skills
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects
  • knowledge of marketing communications
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • college degree in marketing preferred
  • 3+ years of event management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage planning and execution of full range of events including floor days, road shows, internal corporate events, trainings and conferences
  • manage pre- and post-show marketing of events
  • negotiate contracts and coordinate logistical needs including audiovisual, setup, food and beverage
  • manage registration and database related to events
  • oversee production and purchasing for events
  • develop and reconcile budgets with managerial approval
  • incorporate strategic initiatives into actionable plans
  • apply industry and corporate knowledge to quality control marketing communications
  • manage communications and coordinate marketing communications with team manager approval
  • perform other assigned duties
  • maintain regular attendance
