Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • At least two years of experience in event planning or management
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to carry a full service tray
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with multiple teams and clients

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of event planning
  • Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with industry standard event management software
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • Enthusiasm for the 21c Museum Hotels brand
  • Ability to pass background check

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute all scheduled events from start to finish, including contracted and internal functions
  • Coordinate with clients on event details such as menus, set-ups, floorplans, audiovisual needs, timelines, and logistics
  • Collaborate with Sales and Culinary teams to ensure profitable bookings and exceed client expectations
  • Manage and lead event staff including captains, servers, and bartenders to uphold service standards
  • Maintain accurate financial reporting, control expenses, approve payroll, and adhere to accounting procedures
  • Organize inventory management and place orders for event supplies
  • Conduct team training sessions and foster continuous improvement in guest service
