The Convention Center serves as a vital hub for hosting a wide array of events including large conferences, tradeshows, multi-day and multi-room meetings, and client-focused events. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of event management experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in relevant computer programs
- Self-motivated and positive attitude

- Demonstrated written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of convention industry related programs preferred
- Self-directed and self-motivated team player with a positive outlook
Job Duties
- Plan events including client tours and advising on equipment and personnel needs
- Prepare final event settlement paperwork and review with clients to collect final payments
- Communicate client needs to internal departments and third-party vendors through work orders and diagrams
- Ensure event setups comply with client agreements and oversee client services onsite
- Manage events on-site with radio communication and client assistance
- Conduct planning, staff, and operational meetings to ensure smooth event production
- Ensure events comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Coordinate with community and city officials for street closings, parking, and commuting
- Implement new programs and support overall development of the Events Department
- Serve as Manager on Duty as required
- Perform other duties assigned by General Manager, Director of Events, and Executive Staff
