Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in event management within hospitality hotel restaurant or fundraising environments
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous contracts with vendors and venues
  • Knowledge of event marketing strategies and techniques for effective promotion
  • Experience in upselling additional services or packages to maximize revenue streams during events
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to liaise effectively with clients vendors and team members
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management related to events
  • Background in banquet service catering coordination or hotel hospitality operations is highly desirable
  • Customer service orientation combined with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning from initial concept through execution including venue selection catering arrangements and logistics management
  • Develop comprehensive event marketing strategies to promote events and attract target audiences effectively
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors venues caterers and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards
  • Oversee budgeting processes to ensure cost efficiency without compromising event quality
  • Manage client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns promptly
  • Implement upselling techniques to enhance revenue opportunities during events through additional services or packages
  • Supervise on-site event operations to ensure smooth setup execution and breakdown while maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest services
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging promotional materials and campaigns that increase event visibility and attendance
  • Maintain detailed timelines and organizational plans to ensure all event components are executed on schedule
  • Evaluate post-event feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future events
