The Event Manager role at DLP Capital is pivotal for planning, executing, and managing large and multi-program events as well as single-day events that help communicate and promote the company’s mission and services effectively. Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, the individual in this role works collaboratively with internal teams such as marketing, project management, and business leaders, along with external vendors to organize seamless, high-quality events. These events can range from investor meetings and community engagements to large-scale production stages requiring advanced audiovisual setups.

This position requires a strategic thinker with a keen operational focus who can handle all facets of event management including budgeting, logistical coordination, vendor negotiation, onsite execution, and post-event analysis. The Event Manager will be responsible for maintaining an updated comprehensive event calendar, developing checklists and process improvements, managing budgets to optimize return on investment, and ensuring adherence to timeline and quality standards. Strong communication skills and the capacity to creatively problem solve are essential, along with the flexibility to travel regularly for various events.

  • 3 plus years experience in event management
  • Proven ability to execute events on time and within budget
  • Proficiency in Google Suite of Business Products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Marketing, project managers, and marketing team to align event planning with marketing goals
  • Implement and maintain an updated comprehensive events calendar
  • Develop and update event checklists and processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
  • Manage all event logistics including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, transportation, accommodations, and onsite event execution
  • Oversee production stages and AV setups for major events to ensure seamless execution
  • Collaborate with business leaders, speakers, and talent to manage last-minute changes
  • Adhere to established processes, timelines, and budget constraints maintaining high standards
  • Develop and manage event budgets ensuring financial targets and ROI are met
  • Review and approve event expenses identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Document and track all events within project management systems
  • Lead hiring and coordination of external vendors such as AV providers and caterers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners including security and facilities teams
  • Implement feedback mechanisms using attendee input to enhance future events
  • Coordinate post-event actions including publicity and multimedia editing
  • Provide detailed reports on event performance metrics
  • Maintain and update the event calendar proactively
  • Work closely with marketing and communications teams to drive attendance and engagement
