Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in event planning or hospitality
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficient in multitasking and problem-solving
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Own reliable transportation

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with event planning software such as Social Tables
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate meetings and events to maximize banquet space and catering revenue
  • Build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with clients
  • Collaborate with property operations and food and beverage teams
  • Assist clients with food, beverage, and audio-visual selections using upselling techniques
  • Create event floor plans with Social Tables and ensure client approval
  • Serve as host during events with flexible availability
  • Utilize Marriott’s CI/TY system to manage event orders and forecasts
