Job Requirements
- Five plus years of experience as event manager or equivalent
- agency or corporate event experience preferred
- ability to sit or stand for long periods
- capability to lift up to 30 pounds
- extensive computer proficiency
- valid driver’s license and personal automobile for business use
- willingness to travel nationally with overnight stays as long as seven days or more
- adherence to non-disclosure agreements
- excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an event manager or equivalent in public activations, branding, or marketing campaigns
- experience in agency or corporate event settings preferred
- proficiency with event registration platforms such as Swoogo and CVENT
- strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- knowledge of budgeting and vendor management
- basic understanding of audio-visual equipment
- commitment to professionalism and detail orientation
- experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Job Duties
- Manage and support client event programs
- conduct venue research and send RFPs
- prepare budgets and assist in final billing
- curate and manage food and beverage selections
- coordinate hotel room blocks and transportation
- build and maintain event registration websites such as Swoogo and CVENT
- liaise between clients, account/project managers, and suppliers
- organize and plan event programs
- provide on-site event management
- negotiate vendor contracts
- respond promptly to attendee communications
- arrange ancillary meetings and VIP services
- ensure compliance with timelines and budget
- monitor supplier billing and reconcile expenses
- collaborate closely with internal teams
- manage multiple simultaneous events
- maintain knowledge of audio-visual requirements and event compliance
- build strong national and international vendor partnerships
