Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university
- At least 1 year experience in event management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work full time
- Capable of handling operational tasks
- Customer service experience
- Leadership skills
- Ability to manage billing and event logistics
- Proficient in relevant software
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years event management experience
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with at least 1 year of event management experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Experience leading teams or coordinating groups
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and event trends
- Ability to solve operational challenges collaboratively
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales and property departments
- Ensure seamless event progression by following established procedures
- Greet customers during events and transition to event operations team
- Manage billing accuracy and conduct client bill reviews
- Oversee group room blocks and meeting space arrangements
- Act as liaison between sales team and customers throughout event phases
- Lead pre- and post-event meetings to communicate needs and feedback
- Assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
- Up-sell products and services to maximize revenue
- Conduct formal event team meetings and facilitate collaboration
- Review guest satisfaction and provide feedback to staff
- Respond to guest problems and complaints using judgment to enhance experience
- Participate in customer site inspections and support sales
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
