Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • At least two years working in event planning or management
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
  • Must be able to carry full service tray comfortably
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Passion for outstanding guest service and hospitality
  • Creative and task-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of event planning
  • Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with industry standard event software
  • Demonstrated management skills
  • Enthusiasm for all things 21c
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must pass a background check

Job Duties

  • Ownership of all events from planning to execution with guidance from Director of Food & Beverage
  • Work directly with clients to plan all event details including menus, set-ups, AV needs, and timelines
  • Create innovative set-ups, menus, and functions for groups
  • Ensure successful events exceeding client needs and company profitability
  • Plan and execute all 21c and in-house events and assist with off-site events as needed
  • Manage the Banquets and Catering team including Event Captains, servers, and bartenders
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, Executive Chef, Food & Beverage team, and vendors
