Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • At least two years working in event planning or management
  • Must be committed to outstanding guest service and hospitality
  • Strong verbal written and visual communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to carry full service tray comfortably
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of event planning
  • Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with industry standard software
  • Demonstrated management skills
  • Enthusiasm for all things 21c Museum Hotels
  • Must pass a background check

Job Duties

  • Ownership of all events from planning to execution with guidance from Director of Food & Beverage
  • Work directly with clients to plan event details including menus set-ups floorplans AV needs and timelines
  • Create innovative set-ups menus and functions for groups
  • Ensure successful events exceeding client needs and company profitability guidelines
  • Plan and execute all 21c and in-house events assist in off-site events as needed
  • Coordinate with Event Sales Manager and Executive Chef to ensure profitable bookings
  • Lead and manage Event Captains servers and bartenders
