Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience required
- Valid South Carolina driver's license required
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite required
- Prior experience with event scheduling software preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to complete crowd management training
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

- Prior experience with scheduling software such as EMS preferred
- Valid South Carolina driver's license
- Certifications such as CMP or other event industry certifications considered beneficial
- Previous crowd management training or willingness to complete the training program
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all groups utilizing Columbia College facilities for special events
- Contact, coordinate, advise, direct, and negotiate with clients to ensure appropriate event plan development and implementation
- Ensure client needs are clearly understood and oversee plan execution including technical requirements, facility setup, catering, and safety measures
- Collaborate with internal support staff such as Facilities, College Police, IT, and Dining Services, as well as external providers to coordinate event support services
- Maintain detailed event records for use in planning and execution
- Utilize reservation and scheduling software to track and document event logistics
- Perform other duties as assigned
