Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in hotel event management
  • Ability to manage multiple event details simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of hotel event management systems preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of hotel event manager experience
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Knowledge of catering, food and beverage, and banquet operations
  • Skills in managing people and variables in major functions
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Delphi or similar hotel systems preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and customer relations skills
  • Effective decision-making and influence capabilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales and hotel departments
  • Plan, organize, and manage details for group and convention bookings
  • Participate in negotiating meetings on functions, rooms, and rates
  • Monitor and control event budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
  • Communicate with customers pre-event, during event, and post-event
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings and facilitate various related meetings
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting space allocations
