Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in catering sales event sales and planning
- Preferred 2 years of hotel management experience
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in catering sales event sales and planning or a related professional area
- 2 years of hotel management experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with industry-specific systems such as CITY
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
- Excellent time management organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and customer service experience
- Aptitude for self-motivation
- Can-do attitude and hands-on approach to client management
- Flexible schedule allowing availability days nights holidays and weekends based on hotel and client demands
Job Duties
- Preparing all event documentation and coordinating with sales property departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout pre-event event and post-event phases
- Ensuring property events have seamless turnover from sales to service then back to sales
- Recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling and offering enhancements
- Managing event logistics operations and event billing
- Ensuring MCR sales standard operating procedures are followed and completed accurately
- Conducting bill reviews with clients prior to final billing
- Managing group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups
- Identifying and addressing operational challenges with property staff and customers
- Integrating current trends in event management and design
- Acting as liaison between field salesperson and customer throughout the event process
- Participating in customer site inspections and assisting with sales as necessary
- Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the customer experience
- Coordinating and communicating event details to customers and property operations
- Responding to guest problems and complaints
- Assisting in the sales process and revenue forecasting for customer groups
- Up-selling products and services
- Conducting administrative duties related to groups
