Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event planning, sports management or related field
  • two years experience in operation and execution of convention or trade shows with attendance over 5,000
  • experience working with unions such as audio visual, stagehands, productions, and setup staff
  • ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • excellent communication skills
  • leadership ability
  • ability to work long and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • proficiency with computer software including word, excel, outlook, Ungerboeck, Social Tables, and 22 Miles

Job Qualifications

  • Two years experience in operation and execution of large conventions or trade shows
  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event planning, sports management or related field
  • experience working with unions such as audio visual, stagehands, production, and setup staff
  • ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously
  • demonstrated leadership skills
  • excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • self-motivated and capable of working independently and in teams
  • professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
  • computer proficiency including word, excel, outlook, Ungerboeck, Social Tables, and 22 Miles

Job Duties

  • Advise and guide clients on event details and logistics
  • gather and organize information such as agendas, room requirements, labor needs, and security needs
  • respond to client inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments
  • inform clients and service partners about operational procedures and facility policies
  • quote prices for operational and labor services not included in agreements
  • communicate detailed event requirements to operational departments
  • process last minute client changes and alert departments or contractors
  • be present during event execution and serve as manager on duty
  • coordinate with finance on invoicing
