Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • At least two years experience in event planning or management
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to carry full service tray comfortably
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Commitment to outstanding guest service and hospitality
  • Passion for food and beverage knowledge
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • Creative and task oriented
  • Ability to drive long-term strategic planning
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others through example

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of event planning
  • Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with industry standard event software
  • Demonstrated management skills

  • Ability to pass a background check

Job Duties

  • Own all events from planning to execution with oversight from Director of Food & Beverage
  • Work directly with clients to plan event details including menus, set-ups, floorplans, AV needs, timelines
  • Create innovative set-ups, menus and functions for groups
  • Ensure events exceed client needs and company profitability guidelines
  • Plan and execute all 21c and in-house events and assist in off-site events
  • Coordinate with Event Sales Manager and Executive Chef for profitable bookings
  • Manage Banquets & Catering team including Event Captains, servers and bartenders
  • Handle hands-on event management tasks such as setting up tables, running food and drinks, managing AV equipment
  • Maintain efficient set up and tear down processes
  • Uphold and improve 21c Service Standards
  • Maintain clear communication with guests, clients, and internal departments
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships and preferred vendors list
  • Follow accounting procedures for revenue reporting and budget management
  • Conduct hiring, training and performance evaluations for B&C team
  • Track team calendar and write schedules
  • Maintain and update event information in Delphi
  • Lead weekly BEO meetings
  • Inventory and order supplies for events
  • Assist with executive summaries and lead quarterly team trainings
