Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • At least two years of experience in event planning or management
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
  • Must be able to carry full service tray comfortably
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be committed to outstanding guest service and hospitality

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of event planning
  • Considerable working knowledge of other major areas in hotel and ability to integrate and communicate effectively
  • Competent with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with industry standard event software
  • Demonstrated management skills
  • Enthusiasm for 21c Museum Hotels culture
  • Ability to pass a background check

Job Duties

  • Ownership of all events from planning to execution with guidance from Director of Food and Beverage
  • Work directly with clients to plan event details including menus set-ups floorplans AV needs and timelines
  • Create innovative set-ups menus and functions for groups
  • Ensure successful events exceeding client needs and company profitability guidelines
  • Plan and execute all 21c in-house events and assist in off-site events as needed
  • Coordinate with Event Sales Manager and Executive Chef to ensure profitable bookings
  • Lead and manage Event Captains and event servers and bartenders
