Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous convention/event and catering sales experience preferred
- creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/event coordination desirable
- must hold a valid driver's license for the applicable state
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- experience with professional sales techniques preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills required
- ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrate strong organizational and presentation skills

Job Duties
- meet or exceed assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, and food and beverage targets
- proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and client entertainment tailored to the specific needs of the assigned property
- monitor and assess trends within the market segment
- approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner
- adhere to Avion Hospitality's regulations, company standards, catering and meeting standards, and catering sales metrics
- develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's operations and policies, as well as those of relevant departments
- deliver banquet event orders in a timely manner (within 10 days), ensuring accuracy
- communicate any changes promptly to impacted departments and operations leaders
- maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations, as applicable
- assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes, as needed
- attend and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as other functions required by management
- perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales/Events
