Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- 2-4 years event management experience focusing on weddings
- proficient in Google Suite
- proficient in Tripleseat event software
- knowledge and appreciation of wine preferred
- flexible schedule with availability on nights and weekends
- able to lift up to 25 lbs independently
- able to stand and walk for 8-10 hours per day
- good hand-eye coordination
- able to reach, bend, twist, stoop
- able to push and pull
- able to lift overhead
- able to climb stairs in multi-level venue
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Communications or related field
- 2-4 years of event management experience with emphasis on weddings
- proficient knowledge and use of computer and event software such as Google Suite and Tripleseat
- knowledge of and appreciation of wine strongly preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- ability to maintain calm under pressure
- leadership skills to manage event staff effectively
- flexibility to work nights and weekends
- physical stamina for standing and walking extended hours
Job Duties
- Implement event execution procedures as per the First Batch vision and standards
- manage all aspects of the event planning process including confirming details with vendors
- anticipate potential client questions, issues and conflicts and proactively troubleshoot
- proactively engage with guests to ensure a positive experience
- partner with Banquet Manager and Captain to ensure the event is executed to plan
- manage all event staff and run pre-shift meetings to ensure FOH staff have clear communication on responsibilities
- interface with back of house staff to ensure proper delivery and coordination of food service
- responsible for all BEOs, floorplans, and other administrative documents for events
- attend weekly meetings with various departments to review operations details
- liaise with external vendors leading up to and throughout the event including coordinating deliveries and pick-up
- assist with event tasting scheduling and management
- monitor staff performance and guest experience during scheduled shifts
- act as the main point of contact for private event and wedding clients immediately following booking and during the planning process
- manage client relationships and respond quickly to client questions across phone, email, and in-person
- attend quarterly tastings and assist with client questions as well as event service
- maximize revenue through up-selling event related enhancements
- clearly communicate client requests to appropriate departments to ensure event execution
