Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in event management or hospitality field
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • proficiency with computer and event management software
  • strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to learn and adapt to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • event manager or comparable experience in a full-service hotel
  • marriott experience a plus
  • skilled in customer service and communication
  • knowledgeable in event planning and logistics
  • ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • proficient in digital sales systems and hotel revenue strategies
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • flexible availability including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • manage, coordinate, and execute all details and aspects of events and groups turned over by the Sales Department
  • convey all necessary information to ensure customer satisfaction
  • monitor and manage all aspects of pre-event, event, and post-event details including room blocks, meeting space, concessions, group history, and billing
  • deliver successful experiences for planners and attendees to encourage repeat and referral business
  • collaborate with hotel operations teams fostering teamwork and flexibility
  • respond promptly and professionally to internal partners and clients
  • demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation, and attention to detail
  • gain comprehensive knowledge of hotel’s beverage and food products, function spaces, audio-visual equipment, and other event-related services
  • utilize digital sales systems and understand revenue strategies to achieve team and individual goals
  • participate in meetings, training, and communications required for the role
  • perform other duties as needed
