The Student Activities Office is a dynamic and vibrant department dedicated to enhancing the student experience through a variety of engaging events and programs. This office serves as a hub for student interaction, entertainment, and community-building activities on campus. It offers students opportunities to participate in diverse social, cultural, and recreational events designed to foster school spirit and ensure an inclusive, enjoyable atmosphere for all participants. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in managing events or student activities preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
  • Proficient in using event management software or tools
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Report to the Entertainment Director, Chief of Staff and Executive Board
  • Responsible for planning of assigned, as well as, new and innovated events
  • Contact vendors to determine availability of activities
  • Create event budgets proposals and estimated revenue for events
  • Prepare event proposals for the Entertainment Director's review
  • Handle all vendor communications
  • Responsible for any "Advance" arrangements with Vendors
  • Function as supervisor for the execution of events and must be present at the events
  • Will oversee coordination of all staff at the activity and any other resources
  • Attend all SA Staff meetings, trainings and staff activities and complete any preparation work that may be required in advance of such meetings
  • Attend any Entertainment Department meetings
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Entertainment Director, Executive Board and Chief of Staff
  • Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting SA's commitment to the student body
