Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event planning, sports management, or related field
  • Minimum two years' experience in convention or trade show operation and execution
  • Experience collaborating with unionized labor staff
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for over two hours and walk up to ten miles during events
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Ungerboeck, and other event management software
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event planning, sports management, or a related field
  • Two years' experience in operation and execution of conventions or trade shows with attendance over 5,000
  • Experience working with unions such as audio visual, stagehands, productions, and set up staff
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Ungerboeck, Social Tables, and 22 Miles

Job Duties

  • Advise, guide, counsel, and meet with assigned clients regarding event details and logistics
  • Gather and organize information pertinent to events such as agenda, meeting room requirements, labor, electrical, and security needs
  • Respond to client inquiries and direct them to appropriate internal departments
  • Advise clients and partners on operational procedures, policies, rules, regulations, and deadlines
  • Quote prices for operational and labor services not specified in the Event License Agreement
  • Communicate detailed requirements to operational departments in a clear and timely manner
  • Process last-minute changes requested by clients and alert internal departments or service contractors
  • Serve as primary contact and manager on duty during event execution
  • Coordinate with finance on invoicing events
