Churchill Downs Racetrack (CDRT), located in Louisville, Kentucky, is the world’s most legendary racetrack and the proud home of The Kentucky Derby, the longest continually held annual sporting event in the United States since 1875. Spanning 175 acres, the racetrack boasts extensive facilities including a one-mile dirt track, a 7/8-mile turf track, a spacious stabling area, barns capable of accommodating up to 1,400 horses, and a 114-room dormitory for backstretch personnel. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience overseeing multiple event spaces and groups simultaneously
  • Experience dealing with high level clients including dignitaries, celebrities, and premium ticket holders
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and develop professional relationships
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform light physical work related to event setup

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • People-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in entertainment or sporting facility preferred
  • Ability to create and communicate ideas and vision for events

Job Duties

  • Work cross-departmentally to understand event needs and facility policies
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
  • Create custom Banquet Event Orders detailing facility needs, food and beverage packages, event timeline, and staffing
  • Create custom diagrams for approximately 35 event rooms
  • Assist team members on event days and respond to day-of requests promptly
  • Promote and provide exceptional customer service
  • Act as primary Churchill Downs representative in premium dining areas
