Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience in event management or related field
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Proficient in scheduling and staff management
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities

  • Proven experience in event management or related supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution processes
  • Familiarity with customer service best practices
  • Commitment to maintaining high service and hospitality standards

Job Duties

  • Supervises event management including but not limited to selection, training, scheduling, monitoring independent work progress and providing technical, administrative and operational assistance and guidance
  • Communicates with clients, in advance and on-site to ensure anticipated service levels are being met
  • Conducts or participates in departmental meetings to improve client service levels
  • Increase customer satisfaction by building clients knowledge of the vast service options available at the OCCC
  • Involvement in establishing options and services made available to clients
  • Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
