Job Requirements
- completion of 10 school grades
- must possess a valid Class C driver's license with a good driving record
- other state valid driver's license equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered
- must obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 30 days of residency if relocating to Texas
- ability to work 100 percent on-site
- availability to work days nights weekends and holidays as schedules vary
- physical ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- must pass a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of materials methods and practices used in cleaning and custodial work including commercial floor care equipment and chemicals
- knowledge of setting tables chairs stages and exhibit booths
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to interact effectively with other employees
- ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors
- ability to operate passenger car and panel truck
- ability to read
Job Duties
- perform unskilled and semi-skilled manual tasks involved in preparing event facilities for use including setting up tables chairs stages and program equipment such as sound systems exhibit booths and removal of same after event
- assist clients during events
- perform functions during special events
- perform various custodial duties including sweeping mopping scrubbing and removal of debris
- pick up litter outside facilities
- change light bulbs
- operate a variety of cleaning equipment
