Job Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States without requiring university sponsorship

  • Experience with virtual and hybrid event technology

Job Qualifications

  • One year demonstrated event experience
  • Four years work experience or a bachelor's degree
  • Collaborative and team approach to work
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Proofreading and written communications skills
  • Solid knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software

Job Duties

  • Plan, manage, and execute logistics for University-wide development, ceremonial, and presidential events
  • Oversee facility selection, contract negotiations, food and beverage arrangements, audio/visual services, transportation, decor, and entertainment
  • Provide direction to internal university departments and external vendors
  • Manage on-site staff and vendors during events
  • Collaborate with Event Design team on invitations, programs, and promotional materials
  • Create venue diagrams and maps for event logistics
  • Prepare budget projections and reconcile vendor payments
  • Write staffing plans and manage on-site event teams
  • Produce technical agendas for virtual and hybrid events
  • Participate in planning meetings and update project management systems
  • Support or lead special department projects on technology, inclusivity, and education
  • Share information for creation and maintenance of printed materials, web pages, and registration forms
