Job Requirements
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Two years of event management experience in a professional setting
- Ability to work 1 PM-5 PM and the last Saturday of the month on occasion
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Clear and professional communicator who thrives in behind-the-scenes, operational roles with a calm, solutions-focused approach
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Three years of event management experience working with VIP events preferred
- Two years of event management experience in a professional setting required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Clear and professional communicator
- Ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to the mission of BYU required
Job Duties
- Plan and oversee logistics from pre-event preparation through post-event follow-up
- Coordinate space scheduling, room setups, layouts, equipment, and timelines
- Communicate setup and breakdown needs to facilities, custodial, audio/visual, catering, and security teams
- Ensure compliance with venue policies, safety standards, and capacity limits
- Serve as primary logistics contact for internal teams and external partners
- Translate event requirements into clear instructions for support teams
- Confirm event details and troubleshoot changes discreetly
- Maintain event documentation and systems, including schedules, contracts, billing, and resource coordination
- Oversee on-site logistics, vendor performance, timelines, and post-event breakdown and reset
