Job Requirements
- Meet minimum qualifications listed in Classification Specification
- Pass background investigation
- Possess valid California Driver's License with CDL information if applicable
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel for prolonged periods and lift over 25 pounds
- Willingness to work irregular hours including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Complete application package including required documentation
- Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service
- Ability to use management software for event coordination
- Ability to maintain safety and security compliance during events.

Job Duties
- Coordinate workflow and assign Cal Expo events personnel including security, parking attendants, ticket sellers and takers, stagehands, and janitorial staff
- Dispatch maintenance personnel under supervision of Maintenance Supervisor as needed
- Ensure the facility is opened, prepared, and properly closed for each event
- Act as primary point of contact between Cal Expo and show promoters during events, maintaining continuous communication
- Handle and resolve complaints from promoters and public professionally and timely
- Ensure compliance with facility rules, fire, safety, and security regulations throughout events
- Monitor and answer incoming phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately
- Utilize Pro-Core Management Software to create on-site floor plans and make layout adjustments to comply with fire and safety regulations
- Respond promptly to event-related questions and requests via phone, email, or in person providing excellent customer service
- Prepare post-event recaps summarizing logistical successes, areas for improvement, and key takeaways
- Complete Daily Checklist and document operational issues
- Present recaps to Event Coordinators during weekly operations meetings.
