Job Requirements

  • must be able to comply with DOT regulations and maintain DOT certification
  • valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally move up to 75 pounds
  • proficiency in Google/Microsoft office and cloud-based software
  • flexibility to work weekends, evenings, early mornings
  • age 21 years or older
  • comfort working with faith-based groups of diverse religions
  • willingness to drive a box truck without CDL
  • ability to multitask and handle physical demands
  • resourcefulness in various work environments
  • prior nonprofit experience helpful but not required

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in Google and Microsoft office suite and other cloud-based software
  • valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or operating pallet jacks including lifting up to 50lbs
  • compliance with DOT regulations and certification with no history of marijuana use
  • flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings
  • resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments
  • passion for nonprofit mission and volunteer engagement

Job Duties

  • lead volunteers on packaging procedures and adjust volunteer assignments as needed for each event
  • track volunteer registration at events
  • facilitate 4-12 events a month
  • transport raw materials and equipment to mobile packaging locations and facilitate set-up of equipment and materials using a pallet jack and by driving a box truck
  • promote at-event donations and volunteer requests
  • receive shipments of raw ingredients, supplies, and equipment
  • properly process all documentation including invoices, bill of ladings, and receipts of orders
  • prepare finished product for shipping by palletizing and shrink wrapping
  • ensure adequate stock of ingredients and functioning equipment is available at all times
  • safely load and unload raw materials, equipment, and packaged meals in/out of warehouse or trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
  • assist in organization and sanitation of warehouse facilities
  • connect organizations to our mission through volunteer meal packaging experiences
  • develop relationships with various supporting organizations including religious congregations, businesses, civic groups, schools, and community groups
  • assist with marketing campaigns and local efforts to build brand awareness
