Job Requirements
- formal education in hospitality and business management
- minimum of six years experience in hospitality industry with at least three years as a manager or events director
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- creative with keen eye for detail
- ability to produce work free of errors
- strong organizational skills
- self-starter who works well in a team environment
- diverse knowledge of food, beverage, and wine
- proficient in computer programs including Microsoft applications and point of sale
- active member of Club Managers Association of America and pursuing Certified Club Manager designation
- able to work irregular and extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- able to lift at least 35 pounds and capable of walking, bending, and stooping

Job Duties
- Promote the club's facilities for member events and activities
- promote, advertise, and market the club's social event facilities to members
- assist members and guests with arranging banquets, luncheons, meetings, weddings, dances, and social events
- obtain information required for event planning and provide written confirmations
- collaborate with the Executive Chef to set prices, menus, and event details
- oversee development of Banquet Event Orders and ensure menus reflect member interests
- review and recommend policy revisions for private events
- develop and maintain creative banquet packets for member communication
- facilitate arrangements for club events and tournaments
- prepare written promotional materials for club events for newsletters and communications
- manage details for private and club functions including menus, decorations, entertainment, and special requests
- inspect finished arrangements and oversee guest greeting and serving
- verify event orders against actual room setups
- maintain past and potential event files and schedule meetings to assess future event needs
- complete and distribute in-house Banquet Event Orders
- communicate changes in arrangements
- help develop catering budgets and review financial reports to meet budget goals
- provide monthly banquet sales forecasts
- obtain necessary permits for special events
- critique functions to determine improvements
- attend staff and management meetings to review policies
- diagram room layouts and banquet placements
- coordinate room and seating arrangements
- facilitate billing in coordination with Banquet Captains and Accounting
- serve as liaison between kitchen, service, and management
- maintain the club's master calendar and reservation system
- perform special projects as assigned by Food and Beverage Director
