Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years of banquet culinary management experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications
Job Qualifications
- Five years of experience in a similar culinary management role preferred
- Proficient in preparing a wide variety of cuisines in a banquet environment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
Job Duties
- Lead the preparation of all menu items for banquet events, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation
- Manage food inventory by specifying and ordering all necessary supplies for banquet functions
- Maintain high standards of food quality and quantity throughout all banquet services
- Enforce sanitation standards consistently among the banquet preparation team to ensure a safe working environment
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all banquet equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Control food and labor costs effectively to maximize efficiency
- Handle personnel matters including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, promoting, counseling, and discharging team members as needed
