Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- 1 to 3 years of event change over experience
- ability to work flexible shifts including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to handle physical labor and heavy lifting requirements
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
- must be adaptable and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- 1 to 3 years of event change over experience
- ability to work under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timetables
- ability to work independently and as a team
- ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events
- setting-up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment
- responding to promoter/clients' needs as directed
- work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- assist, when necessary, with pre/post event cleaning
- meet the physical demands of this job which include walking the entire shift, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and moderate to loud noises
- maintain outside grounds including parking areas, entrances, event plaza and snow removal as required
- perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, and other conversion related operational equipment
- follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts or other light power equipment with training and certification
- maintain effective working relationships with other departments, clients, and patrons
- work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results
- other duties and responsibilities as assigned
