Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in long-term care
- ability to assist in development and delivery of activity programs
- knowledge of social and recreational program coordination
- good communication skills
- ability to work with elderly residents

- ability to collaborate with volunteers and staff

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- activities certification preferred
- one year experience working in long-term care
- experience conducting social/recreational programs within the past five years preferred
Job Duties
- Assists in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote residents' engagement and functional levels
- encourages resident participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities, recreational activities
- assists in completing activity documentation when needed
- submits supplies list to Activity/Recreation Director and receipts for activity expenditures
- maintains precautions/limitations list on each resident
- assists Activity/Recreation Director in organizing and supervising the volunteer program including recruiting and training volunteers
- assists with Resident Council meetings when necessary
- assists in planning community activities involving community, staff, families, and residents
- assists in completing and posting a monthly calendar of available activity/recreational programs
- models customer service principles
- treats residents, families, visitors, and colleagues with courtesy, respect, and dignity
- presents a professional image through appearance, behavior, and speech
- explains procedures to residents before administering services
- performs other duties as assigned
