The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on the development and promotion of the Towpath Trail across Summit, Stark, and Tuscarawas Counties. This trail serves as a vital recreational and historical asset, connecting communities and enhancing outdoor experiences through extensive trail connections and educational programs. The organization plays an essential role in fostering environmental stewardship, historic preservation, and healthy lifestyles among residents and visitors alike. By organizing various events and fundraising activities, the Coalition ensures ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the Towpath Trail, supporting regional economic development and community engagement.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
- Willingness to work in-person in downtown Akron
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Education or experience in marketing, hospitality management, public relations, event planning or similar field preferred but not required
- Ability to work in-person in downtown Akron
- Requires some evening and weekend work
Job Duties
- Coordinating the planning and execution of Canal Boat Captain's Ball Virtual Auction, Congressman Ralph Regula Memorial Ride, Towpath 50 bicycle ride, and Bike, Hike and Brew
- Co-coordinating the planning and execution of Taste of Tusc
- Assisting with other fundraising events and programs, including Towpath Century Ride, Towpath Classic Golf Outing, and Towpath Freedom 5K
- Assisting with event promotion and communications
- Assisting with the cultivation of corporate and individual donors
- Assisting with the implementation of the Resource Development Plan
- Assisting with educational programming and events
- Assisting with office functions
