Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Caterease event and catering management software
  • Experience with RMS property management system
  • Knowledge of standardized events and catering practices, procedures, and pricing
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare contracts and reports
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospitality, Tourism, and Entertainment or appropriate combination of education and experience in Hospitality and Recreation industry
  • Experience with Caterease event and catering management software
  • Experience with RMS property management system
  • Knowledge of standardized events and catering practices, procedures, and pricing
  • Ability to coordinate with various workstations to meet customer catering and event requirements
  • Skills to assist customers in planning delivery of services
  • Ability to prepare reports and complete simple contractual arrangements
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Job Duties

  • Plan events such as command functions, community events, military and civilian socials at various venues
  • Work closely with clients to understand objectives, budgets, and preferences
  • Provide recommendations on menus, décor, and entertainment options
  • Develop event schedules and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Prepare contracts, cost functions, and obtain clients' signatures and deposits
  • Follow up with client evaluations of services rendered
  • Develop creative promotional and advertising strategies
  • Ensure all events comply with compliance and risk management policies
  • Assist management in preparing and administering the department's budget
  • Provide world-class customer service emphasizing courtesy
  • Communicate positively and solve problems quickly
  • Report workplace hazards, injuries, and property damage
  • Support principles of EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
