Job Description

MORI Associates is a mid-sized, nationwide company founded in 1997 that specializes in providing innovative and advanced engineering solutions, strategic consulting, and the development of Information Systems. The company is committed to creating an agile organization filled with passionate and forward-thinking professionals, all working together to progress science and technology for the benefit of life on Earth. The role of Event Coordinator / Industrial Designer I at MORI Associates offers a unique opportunity to work directly with NASA's Johnson Space Center exhibits, events, and outreach teams in Houston, Texas. This position is perfect for creative, organized, and motivated individuals who have a passion for industrial design and event coordination. It provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment where you will develop design concepts, create CAD models, assist in fabrication planning, and oversee event installations that support NASA’s public engagement and educational outreach efforts. As a key member of this diverse team, you will collaborate with experienced designers, project managers, and communications professionals to ensure that exhibits and events are both innovative and executed to the highest standards.

The Event Coordinator / Industrial Designer I will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing NASA’s mission by contributing to exhibits and events that educate and inspire the public about space exploration and science. Responsibilities include developing visual presentations, renderings, and fabrication documentation to bring exhibit ideas to life. You will engage directly with clients, team leaders, and external vendors to coordinate efforts and maintain quality, safety, and compliance with NASA guidelines. This role also involves hands-on work during exhibit and event installations, which requires physical participation and the ability to operate equipment necessary for setup and teardown.

This full-time, on-site position offers a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 and comes with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision care, as well as matching funds for a 401K plan. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends, reflecting the dynamic nature of event coordination and support for NASA’s high-profile projects. MORI Associates is an equal opportunity employer compliant with all federal employment regulations and offers a supportive work environment where innovation, teamwork, and professional growth are encouraged.
