Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in event planning, business, and/or customer service
  • Experience working at a Christian school preferred
  • Cleared background/fingerprint check
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Cleared TB assessment
  • Completion of Ministry Safe Training
  • Valid California driver's license

  • Familiarity with secondary education goals, administrative duties, and communication standards
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Apple Keynote preferred

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage difficult customer service situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must maintain calm composure in stressful situations
  • Personable yet professional demeanor
  • Demonstrates the highest level of Christian integrity and leadership
  • Active member of a Christian church
  • Ability to articulate Christian faith

Job Duties

  • Champion and protect the OLU look and feel for large-scale events
  • Work collaboratively under the direction of the Director of Enrollment and Engagement Services to lead faculty and staff through an excellent event planning process
  • Coordinate planning for Admissions events including Preview Day, Open House, Preview Night, Freshmen Course Info Night, and Registration Day
  • Manage calendaring with facilities, ordering promotional materials, managing event expenses, and coordinating marketing promotions
  • Develop and maintain connections with administration, faculty, and staff regarding event logistics
  • Coordinate scheduling of high school fairs with partner schools and OLU staff participation
  • Represent OLU to outside entities including partner schools, vendors, and prospective families during event planning and management
