Job Requirements
- associate's degree or equivalent combination of experience such as two years full-time experience in business or event/catering planning and execution or one year of college credits and one year full-time experience
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- strong customer service skills
- cultural competence
- strong organizational and planning skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- proficiency in computers including events management software and Microsoft Office
- ability to carry at least 50 pounds
- availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- assist the Director of Facilities Rentals in creating a positive experience for facility users
- collaborate with college departments and clients on all aspects of their event
- assist with event set-up coordination and scheduling
- prepare and maintain event documents
- gather information about client objectives
- act as liaison between clients and food services
- create schedules for event staff
- communicate with vendors and suppliers
- be present during events to liaise with organizers
- collaborate with internal departments for audio/visual support
- handle problems to ensure successful events
- assist in preparation of permits and collection of fees
- collaborate with food services, cleaning crews, and other support workers
- ensure compliance with insurance, health, and safety standards
- attend permit committee meetings and distribute meeting minutes
- perform other duties as assigned
