Job Requirements
- proven experience in event coordination or a related role
- strong communication and organizational skills
- ability to negotiate with vendors and manage budgets
- proficiency with event management software and microsoft office
- ability to multitask and work under pressure
- flexibility to work evenings weekends and non-traditional hours as needed
- bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as an event coordinator or similar role in hospitality or tourism
- strong understanding of event management principles and best practices
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- proficiency in event management software and microsoft office suite
- strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- flexibility to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as event schedules require
- bachelor’s degree in hospitality management marketing or a related field is a plus
Job Duties
- plan organize and execute a variety of events ensuring all details are covered
- source and negotiate with vendors suppliers and venues
- develop event timelines and detailed project plans
- manage event budgets tracking expenses and ensuring profitability
- coordinate event logistics including catering av decor and staffing
- communicate effectively with clients providing updates and ensuring their vision is realized
- oversee on-site event execution troubleshooting any issues that arise
- develop marketing materials and promotional strategies for events
- gather post-event feedback and analyze event success metrics
- maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners
