Job Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment
- Must participate in direct deposit pay program
- Must successfully pass E-Verify employment verification
- Must meet time-in-grade requirement for current federal employees
- Appointment of retired military members subject to 5 USC 3326 provisions
- Males born after must be registered for Selective Service
- Position is bargaining unit
- Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS including remote sites
- Must obtain and maintain required security clearance
- Required to complete training and maintain government credit cards for purchases and travel
Job Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in private or public sector
- Specialized experience must include providing logistical support for conferences and events and resolving challenges
- Preparing event materials such as agendas, registration pages, official programs, fact books, and name tags
- Supporting high-profile events while ensuring compliance with procedures and protocol
- Arranging travel and lodging for event support
- Knowledge of government credit card policy and record maintenance
Job Duties
- Serve as the event lead and provide logistical support for conferences, events, and ceremonies as assigned by director or conference organizer
- Coordinate Naval War College ceremonies including graduation ceremonies, annual convocation ceremony, and change of command ceremonies
- Coordinate, and prepare invitations, handout materials, travel orders, lodging arrangements, and security access lists for official visits and events
- Assess protocol and cultural requirements of attendees in consultation with the department director
- Provide continual appraisal and analysis of command activities, including assessing potential benefits and reactions to planned events
- Maintain the department purchase card and unit travel card, ensuring all required records and documentation are created and maintained according to government policy
