Job Requirements
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor smiling frequently
- Be available to work flexible hours including days evenings and or weekends based on event schedules
- Effectively function in a lively fast-paced environment with potential noise and distractions
- Communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal forms
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds
- Move throughout the facility and remain standing for extended periods as needed to oversee events
- Frequently walk or stand for the majority of your shift particularly during event execution
- Reach bend stoop and perform light cleaning tasks as necessary to ensure event areas are presentable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in event coordination or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules
- Proficient in multitasking and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the hospitality or entertainment industry is a plus
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Conceptualize plan and execute a variety of events including birthday celebrations corporate gatherings team-building activities and social events ensuring alignment with guest expectations and Dave & Buster's standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event inquiries and client communication building strong relationships and addressing all client needs and preferences
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including food and beverage gaming and operations to coordinate event logistics and ensure smooth event execution
- Develop detailed event proposals contracts and timelines manage budgets effectively and ensure financial accuracy
- Oversee event setup and teardown ensuring the event space is appropriately configured and all necessary resources are in place
- Proactively address any issues or challenges during events ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions to maintain positive guest experiences
- Maintain meticulous records of event details guest interactions and financial transactions
- Stay informed about company offerings promotions and event packages to effectively communicate options to clients
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance the event experience and identify potential for repeat business
- Uphold a positive and professional demeanor representing Dave & Buster's favorably
- Assist team members and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment
