Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • One year of service experience in a similar volume and service style restaurant preferred
  • High school graduate, some college preferred
  • Current Food Handler’s Card
  • Ability to communicate verbal and written English with guests, management, and crewmembers
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to maintain complete knowledge of table numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code
  • Knowledge of all menu and daily special items including ingredients, taste, texture, price, preparation, and presentation
  • Knowledge of pricing, glassware, and garnishes for all restaurant beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic
  • Knowledge of characteristics, pricing, and descriptions of wine and champagne selections
  • Knowledge of state liquor regulations
  • Knowledge of correct maintenance and use of food serving and preparation equipment
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale and payment processing procedures
  • Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate pertinent information to management timely
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to be well organized and maintain concentration under stress
  • Ability to effectively communicate across organization levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to arrive to scheduled shift on time
  • Ability to work shifts dictated by event bookings

Job Duties

  • Assist the Private Event Manager and Sales Manager in planning and executing private events
  • Oversee crewmembers working during events
  • Handle inquiry calls according to company standards
  • Work with guests to capture event specifics including menus, pricing, AV requirements, room layout, and billing information
  • Distribute information to appropriate departments timely and follow up with thank you calls and letters
  • Maintain an organized filing system to track repeat business
  • Assist with marketing efforts including social marketing, print ads, web ads, and in-house collateral
